According to The Mirror, Arsenal are among a number of clubs who are interested in signing Alex Luna.

It has been reported that Arsenal have watched the Atletico Rafaela teenager closely.

However, the Gunners are not the only club who are reported to be keeping tabs on the Argentine wonderkid.

The Mirror has claimed that Manchester United, AC Milan, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are also interested in the youngster.

One for the future

Luna is a very good attacking player who can play as a number nine or as a second striker.

According to The Mirror, the 16-year-old scored 16 goals in 2020 before the global health crisis stopped football in Argentina.

The teenager recenty spoke of his fondness for Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil international forward Neymar and his desire to “imitate” him.

Luna told AS earlier this month, as translated by 90min: “I like dribbling, dribbling, like Neymar.

“I try to imitate him a lot for his style and for all the things he does. He is one of the best in the world with Messi. Neymar is ahead of Cristiano.”

It is clear that Luna is one for the future, and it remains to be seen if Arsenal are able to attract him.

Meanwhile, Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has expressed his delight at Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signing a new contract with the Gunners.

Football.London quotes Xhaka as saying: “With Willian and Gabriel, Arsenal brought a lot of quality and mentality into the dressing room. Willian knows how to win titles.

“And the extension with Aubameyang was an important signal for all of us – we want to go back to the Champions League.”
