Arsenal have reportedly already wrapped up their second summer signing, even if it hasn’t been announced.

The Gunners kicked off their business last week by unveiling Nuno Tavares, following an £8 million move from Benfica.

Since then, speculation was rife that Belgian midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga was set to follow Nuno to the Emirates Stadium.

The 21-year-old is poised to sign for Arsenal in a £15 million deal from Anderlecht but, if one report is true, he already has.

According to Football London, Arsenal’s deal for Lokonga has effectively already been done.

The report – written by Chris Wheatley – also claims that a delay in announcing the capture is linked to the fact that London Colney is closed for a ‘deep cleaning’ due to a series of confirmed coronavirus cases among youth players.

No Bissouma?

Well, time will tell.

There were quite a lot of Arsenal fans who very much wanted to see Edu and Mikel Arteta go after Yves Bissouma.

But the Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder would have cost double what Lokonga has and it’ll be interesting to see if the Gunners’ hierarchy are being economic or cheap.

Bissouma has plenty of Premier League experience and is already proven in this division.

If the Senegal midfielder rips it up with another English club next season [Liverpool and Spurs are linked] and Lokonga struggles, the vitriol against the likes of Arteta and Edu will rise much further.
