Nicolas Pepe will surely be on his way out of Arsenal this summer with the winger nowhere to be seen during the tour to Germany.

Arsenal will surely ditch Nicolas Pepe this summer as his absence from the trip to Germany continues to raise questions.

The Gunners kicked off their pre-season preparations with a friendly against Nurnberg with Mikel Arteta’s side training over in Germany.

Bukayo Saka rifled Arsenal into the lead, suggesting that he is ready to shine once again this coming season.

Arteta named some fringe and young players in his squad with the likes of Karl Hein, Auston Trusty, Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Reuell Walters all included.

There was notably no place in the squad for Nicolas Pepe though amid hints that he isn’t part of Arsenal’s travelling squad.

Nicolas Pepe seems to be out of Arsenal’s plans

Pepe posted a photo working out on his own as he returns from injury.

The Ivorian missed the final stages of the season whilst on loan with Nice and and has been getting treatment on a right knee injury.

Pepe’s photo sparked rumours though as many expected him to be rehabilitating at London Colney.

That doesn’t appear to be the case and the Daily Cannon didn’t name Pepe as one of the players making the trip to Arsenal’s training camp in Germany.

Pepe wasn’t in the squad against Nurnberg and hasn’t been spotted in any training pictures.

Perhaps Pepe’s injury has flared up again and he is back in London getting treatment, but training on his own away from Arsenal and complete radio silence from the club on his situation leaves many to think he is on his way.

Pepe contract termination already in mind

Pepe clearly has no future at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta, that’s why he sent on loan to Nice last season.

An expensive 2019 signing from Lille, Pepe blew hot and cold in his debut season but has now been completely cast aside.

Bukayo Saka’s emergence has left Pepe as a forgotten man at Arsenal and he will surely be on the move this summer.

Football London even claim that Arsenal have already prepared to terminate his contract is needed.

That would be a sad end to what looked like a hugely exciting signing at the time, but would free up Pepe to move on and try to get his career back on track.
