Arsenal will be without the services of Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey on Sunday.
The Gunners welcome Leeds United to the Emirates Stadium for the first time in a Premier League game.
Mikel Arteta’s side have been struggling as of late and they have lost two and drawn one of their last three league outings.
But their chances of stopping the rot have taken a hit after Arsenal revealed their official website that they’ll be without Tierney and Partey.
The club claimed that it expects the former Celtic left-back to resume full training next week, and that Partey, who suffered a hamstring problem in the defeat by Aston Villa last weekend, won’t make it back to face Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
This is a worry for Arsenal.
Leeds’ home form is pretty erratic but the Whites are deadly away from home and Tierney and Partey are both big, big players for the North Londoners.
Tierney has created more goalscoring chances for them this season, despite being a left-back, and Partey’s energy from midfield, linking defence to attack, will be sorely missed.
Arsenal are 11th in the Premier League table, two points behind Leeds.
