Arsenal have joined Wolves in the race for Marquinhos with the Sao Paulo youngster potentially making a big move to Europe this summer.
We all know that Edu and Arsenal have decent contacts in the Brazilian market.
Gabriel Martinelli has been the big success story after arriving from Ituano back in 2019.
Edu also pounced to sign defender Pablo Mari from Flamengo but that move hasn’t been quite as successful.
Edu likely has his eyes on many prospects in Brazil and Marquinhos could now be another one for Arsenal to sign.
Arsenal have joined Wolves in the race for Marquinhos
Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola has taken to YouTube to claim that Arsenal have joined the race to sign Marquinhos.
Nicola’s claims are relayed by Torcedores with Marquinhos seemingly a man in demand.
It’s noted that Marquinhos has a contract until 2024 and there is a €50million (£42.5million) release clause in his contract.
Juventus and Atletico Madrid have shown an interest but it’s Arsenal and Wolves who have advanced a move for Marquinhos.
Both clubs would surely want to bring that release clause down as, outside of Vinicius Junior or Rodrigo Goes, you don’t often see Brazilian teenager go for that kind of fee.

Who is Sao Paulo talent Marquinhos?
Marquinhos, 19, was born in Sao Paulo and has come up through the ranks with his hometown club.
Marquinhos has played 39 times for Sao Paulo’s first team, bagging four goals and three assists in the process.
That isn’t a truly incredible record but it seems that the young attack is viewed as a player with huge potential.
Primarily a winger, Marquinhos has also been utilised playing off a striker at Sao Paulo.
There are parallels with Martinelli; a young Brazilian winger who can also play centrally.
That move has worked brilliantly for Arsenal and Edu may look to replicate that success with a deal for Marquinhos.
