Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing Arsenal and their interest in Mykhaylo Mudryk.
The Gunners were strongly linked with a move for Mudryk in the summer, and when speaking to CBS, the player himself admitted that he’d be open to a move to north London if the opportunity arose.
Mudryk is certainly a player on Arsenal’s radar, and according to Romano, the club have had some positive contacts on the player’s side in recent weeks.
Unfortunately, Shakhtar Donetsk want massive money for their star man, but despite the Ukrainian club’s hefty demands, the Gunners still have an eye on Mudryk, reportedly considering him as a ‘top talent’.

Arsenal’s Mudryk chase
The journalist shared what he knows about Arsenal and Mudryk.
“Also the winger. We know they wanted a winger, Raphinha was the dream, but it was not possible to proceed. They have had very positive contacts on Mudryk on the player’s side, but then they decided not to proceed with Shakhtar because they wanted more than 40/45 million, but now Shakhtar want more than 60/65 million, but Arsenal are still following the player, they consider Mudryk a top talent/ Arsenal will be busy in the next weeks,” Romano said.
Could be worth it
Mudryk will be very expensive, but he may well be worth it.
Yes, it’s easy to say that this is a player who has only ever played football in the Ukrainian League, but some of the Premier League’s recent stars have come from that part of the world.
Willian, Fernandinho and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have all tasted success in England after spells in Ukraine, and Mudryk could be the next on that long line of talented players.
Arsenal do want a winger, and with Mudryk being a young, exciting player, he certainly fits the bill of what Arsenal have been after lately.
