Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-1 on Saturday afternoon and goalscorer Granit Xhaka has now received praise from Hector Bellerin.

The Gunners enjoyed a morale-boosting win over Chelsea in midweek and repeated the trick against United.

Nuno Tavares and Bukayo Saka had Arsenal 2-0 up before Cristiano Ronaldo hauled United back into it.

Xhaka secured the win though, hammering a left-footed drive beyond David De Gea to wrap up a 3-1 victory.

With Tottenham only drawing 0-0 at Brentford, Arsenal are back in the box seat for a Champions League finish.

Just a week ago, fans will have been fearing the worst after four defeats in five but two wins in a row have brought new hope.

Xhaka has been particularly impressive in those two games, performing an admirable job against Chelsea in midweek.

Then, Xhaka smashed in a stunning long-range strike against United; his third against the Red Devils, which is more than he has scored against any other club for Arsenal.

With Thomas Partey out injured, Xhaka has needed to step up as Arsenal’s midfield linchpin.

In the last couple of games, Xhaka has certainly done that and is receiving the praise he deserves.

Xhaka took to Instagram to post that it’s about time he brought back the ‘XhakaBoom’, seemingly what he calls a long-range goal.

A number of Arsenal teammates responded with praise, but there was also a message from Hector Bellerin.

The long-time Arsenal right back is now on loan at Real Betis back in Spain but hasn’t forgotten about his parent club.

Bellerin responded by simply calling Xhaka ‘the best’, praising the midfielder as his driving performance helped Arsenal grab a victory.

The Swiss ace will now hope to get Arsenal over the line and into the Champions League, as Xhaka has only ever played seven Champions League games for Arsenal.
