Arsenal signed Petr Cech from fierce rivals Chelsea last summer.
Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has highlighted the similarities between current boss Arsene Wenger and previous manager Jose Mourinho, in an exclusive interview with popular football magazine FourFourTwo.
Cech, 34, made the switch from Stamford Bridge to the Emirates last season, and despite his advancing years, he is still considered one of the league’s best stoppers.

The 124-capped Czech Republic international discussed his time under Mourinho, and compared it to his current spell at Arsenal, during an exclusive interview with FourFourTwo:
“Wenger and Mourinho are different but there is one thing they have in common and that is that they do not like defeats. And I think this is the driving force behind the success of both of them. Because you cannot last for such a long time if you do not have the commitment and the hunger and if you are not doing everything to avoid defeat.”

Wenger won three Premier League titles with Arsenal from when he arrived in September 1996 up until his side’s ‘invincible’ season of 2003/04.
The Gunners’ success quickly ground to a halt, however, when Mourinho arrived on English shores armed with Roman Abramovich’s billions.
Unfortunately for Arsenal fans, Wenger spearheaded the club’s move from Highbury to the Emirates just two years after the Portuguese’s appointment at Stamford Bridge, and their financial power was subsequently substantially limited for the ensuing period.
It will be interesting to see who gets the upper hand this season, with Wenger’s men currently three places and three points above Mourinho’s troops in the Premier League table.
