This summer is expected to be a busy one for some of the Premier League’s top clubs with the striker market, in particular, set to be a competitive one once again.
Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur could all be in the market for a new striker this summer. Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres and Ivan Toney are just some of the forwards who could be on the market during the off-season.
One striker who could also be joining that list of available strikers is RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, who has had a good season for the German side netting 14 goals and providing two further assists in the Bundesliga.
A move to the Premier League for the Slovenian forward could be on the horizon and Sesko’s agent, Elvis Basanovic, has confirmed there is interest from England.

Sesko’s agent on Premier League links
Speaking to Slovenian outlet Sportklub, Sesko’s agent was asked about interest in the young forward from overseas and Basanovic seemed to confirm there were clubs keen on the 20-year-old.
“I can say that there is interest in Benjamin, both from the Premier League and from Italy,” Sesko’s agent revealed.
“But out of respect, I can’t talk about the names of the clubs.
“We are talking about top clubs. But you have to realise that Benjamin is at a top club right now. Very few people realise how big a club Leipzig is. The next few weeks will certainly be eventful.
“It is my duty to listen to offers. We have to work on giving Benjamin more opportunities at the end of the season. But it’s his decision. We will propose what is best for his long-term development.”
Arsenal’s interest
HITC reported over the weekend that Arsenal were one of the clubs in attendance at Leipzig’s 2-2 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt, which included a goal from Sesko, his seventh goal in as many Bundesliga games.
Arsenal’s need for a goal scorer is well documented with the club’s main forward, Kai Havertz, scoring just 13 Premier League goals for the Gunners. Sesko has been a prolific presence throughout his short career and only joined the German side back in 2022.
With Erling Haaland picking up back-to-back Golden Boot awards in the Premier League for Manchester City, Mikel Arteta’s side will surely want a prolific forward of their own to match the Norwegian and Sesko would certainly fit the bill.
“I think he is a very complete striker who can score with his head, with his right foot, with his left foot, from inside the area, from distance, after dribbling or completing a team move,” Sesko’s agent said during the forward’s time in Austria.
“He is very fast, in some games he reaches a speed of over 36km/h (22.3 mph) which makes him one of the fastest forwards in the world.”
