Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes helped his side claim a clean sheet against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday… but lost a tooth in the process.

The Gunners were looking to build on a big 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur but couldn’t quite manage it against Brighton.

A 0-0 draw was probably a fair result in the end with neither team able to break the other down at the Amex Stadium.

Gabriel shines for Arsenal, but loses a tooth

Ben White and Gabriel have started to build a strong relationship for Arsenal.

Gabriel wasn’t completely happy though as he was wandering around the pitch after the full-time whistle searching for his tooth.

The Brazilian had a tooth knocked out, and was desperately trying to find it once the game was over.

What makes this even more bizarre is that Gabriel also lost a tooth back in May – also against Brighton!

Lille star mocks Gabriel

News of Gabriel’s dental disaster made its way to France, where one of the defender’s former Lille teammates had a laugh.

Midfielder Xeka took to Instagram to send Gabriel a message saying ‘Ja chamou a fada dos dentes?’ – which translates to ‘Have you called the tooth fairy?’

The Portuguese midfielder clearly found Gabriel misfortune funny, and maybe the defender will have to be extra careful on April 9th 2022 – the next time Arsenal play Brighton.
