Arsenal supporters will be livid if a reported transfer rumour is true regarding Tottenham Hotspur.

And honestly, very rightly so!

According to Bild, Tottenham are interested in signing Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry who, as everyone knows, began his professional career at Arsenal, their North London rivals.

The 26-year-old was on the Gunners’ books from the age of 16 until leaving to join Werder Bremen in 2016.

Gnabry has dazzled since leaving North London and scored nine Champions League goals – including four against Tottenham – in helping Bayern win the European title in the summer of 2020.

Arsenal fans continue to think of the Germany international as one of their own and a huge portion of the fanbase would be sick if he winds up joining Spurs this summer.

They’d also be upset because Gnabry has previously said via Football London that if he does return to the Premier League, the Emirates Stadium outfit would be the ‘favourite’ to get him.

That certainly indicates that despite failing to impress at Arsenal, Gnabry has retained an affinity for the North Londoners.

However, joining the Lilywhites would essentially make him the enemy in the eyes of the same fanbase who desperately wanted to see him succeed under Arsene Wenger.
