Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi could be on the move for good this summer – and fans want an interesting swap deal.
The Frenchman showed real promise under Unai Emery, but well out of Mikel Arteta’s plans last year.
Guendouzi joined Hertha Berlin on loan for the season, and will soon be heading back to Arsenal when that deal comes to an end.
It seems unlikely that Arteta will change his stance and bring him back into the Arsenal side, with a return to France a possibility.
L’Equipe report that Marseille want to sign Guendouzi this summer, because they think they’re going to lose homegrown star Boubacar Kamara.
Guendouzi is being eyed up as a replacement in a holding midfield role for Marseille, which would be a pretty ambitious move for Marseille.
Arsenal fans seem to like the idea of Guendouzi heading to Marseille, but only if it means Marseille talent Kamara heads the other way.
Kamara can play at centre back or in holding midfield, meaning he can offer great versatility to Arsenal whilst also having huge potential for the future.
Some feel that Kamara is ‘class’ and would be a ‘great signing’ for Arsenal, urging Arsenal to go and make a swap happen rather than just selling Guendouzi for cash.
