Watford earned a 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Watford are still waiting for a first win of the season, but came so, so close to three points against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon as they drew 1-1.
The Hornets have been disappointing so far this season, but took an early lead as Daryl Janmaat crossed for Abdoulaye Doucoure to slot home.
Spurs had a couple of scares, as Jan Vertonghen brought down Gerard Deulofeu, but a penalty strangely wasn’t awarded even after a VAR check, and Serge Aurier pulled off a superb block to stop Roberto Pereyra scoring.
Tottenham then found a late equaliser, as Dele Alli nipped in to score as Ben Foster failed to deal with a long ball, handing Spurs a share of the spoils in another disappointing display from Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Arsenal fans actually had a lot to say about the game, but not because of anything to do with rivals Tottenham, but more for one of Watford’s star players.
Midfielder Doucoure turned in a superb performance, impressing with his all-round game as well as getting himself on the scoresheet with the opener.

A number of Arsenal fans took to Twitter during and after the game, branding Frenchman Doucoure ‘immense’ for his performance against Tottenham.
Others feel that Doucoure is the missing piece of the midfield puzzle for Arsenal, and would be a major upgrade on Granit Xhaka whilst urging Unai Emery to go and sign him.
