Arsenal beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 on Sunday afternoon, with Takehiro Tomiyasu showing Spurs exactly what they’re missing out on.
The Gunners were superb in the first half, racing into a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Emile Smith Rowe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka.
Son Heung-min did pull one back for Tottenham, but this was undoubtedly Arsenal’s big day as they claimed a huge derby day win.
Tomiyasu shows what Tottenham are missing
Tottenham were heavily linked with a move to sign defender Takehiro Tomiyasu over the summer.
In the end, they signed Emerson Royal from Barcelona instead.
That allowed Arsenal to swoop in and sign Tomiyasu instead, and the Gunners appear to have a star.
The Japanese international was solid yet again on Sunday. With four aerial duels won, three clearances and won interception, Tomiyasu was strong at the back and even had a shot on target.

Arsenal fans react to Tomiyasu display
Knowing that Tottenham wanted Tomiyasu and decided against signing him, Arsenal fans were loving his display.
Some praised a ‘monster performance’ from Tomiyasu, claiming Arsenal have ‘struck gold’.
Others mocked Spurs for not signing Tomiyasu themselves, even calling him a ‘Tottenham reject’ despite being much better than Emerson in the eyes of Arsenal fans.
Mikel Arteta was praised for personally pushing to sign Tomiyasu, with Arsenal fans enjoying his performances on multiple levels.
