Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that the Gunners are willing to meet Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham’s wage demands.

What’s the story?

The Express have reported that Arsenal are interested in signing Abraham from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The England international striker is on £80,000 per week as salary at Chelsea.

The 23-year-old is looking for £125,000 per week, and Arsenal are reportedly ready to pay it.

Chelsea are open to sending the youngster out on loan, but the 2021 Champions League winners are looking for £40 million for a permanent deal.

What are Arsenal fans saying?

As you can see from the tweets below, Arsenal fans do not want the club to pay £125,000 per week as salary to Abraham.

Well, some of them anyway.

The striker struggled for regular playing time at Chelsea last season and could not get ahead of Timo Werner in the team.

However, back in 2019-20, the England international scored regularly for the Blues under then Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

Abraham scored six goals and provided one assist in 12 Premier League starts last season.

The striker scored 15 goals and gave three assists in the Premier League for Chelsea in 2019-20.
