William Saliba will be arriving at Arsenal in the summer of 2020.

If Sunday’s performance against Lyon is anything to go by, Arsenal have a real talent on their hands.

William Saliba played a blinder as Saint Etienne beat the Ligue 1 outfit 1-0 last night.

The 18-year-old centre-back, who officially signed for Arsenal in a £27 million deal during the summer, was charged with the task of keeping Moussa Dembele quiet – a job he performed excellently.

The former Celtic hitman had six goals in seven starts going into last night’s clash, but the teenage powerhouse kept him on a short leash throughout.

It was a fabulous individual display from the Arsenal-owned star and here’s how fans of the North London club reacted on Twitter:

David Luiz hadn’t enjoyed a brilliant start to life at Arsenal, but the Brazilian centre-back has looked better in recent games and scored the winner on Sunday as Unai Emery’s side beat Bournemouth 1-0.

Originally, the decision to sign Luiz instead of keeping Saliba in North London was questioned by Arsenal supporters, such was the former Chelsea man’s trying start, but Luiz is slowly adapting.
