It is safe to say the most fun Arsenal fans had at Wembley on Sunday was leaving something behind for their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

There is no love lost between Tottenham and Arsenal and that was on show once again on Sunday.

The Gunners were humiliated 3-0 in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City in one of the most one-sided finals in recent memory.

Arsene Wenger’s side failed to turn up much to the disappointment of Gunners fans but they did manage to have some fun at Wembley.

That’s because Arsenal fans spent much of the game planting thousands of stickers of Spurs hate figure Sol Campbell lifting the Premier League trophy all over Tottenham’s temporary home ground.

Spurs fans have been disappointed by their side’s failure to convert their meteoric rise under Mauricio Pochettino into silverware.

And Arsenal supporters clearly wanted to remind their rivals of that fact by plastering Wembley with pictures of former Spurs skipper Campbell doing just that after infamously crossing the North London divide during his playing days.

According to Arsenal fans on social media, thousands of the stickers were put up all around the ground on hand rails, signs, in toilets, concourses, seats and footwells.

Tottenham fans won’t be best pleased, but after their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace increased the gap between the North London rivals to 10 points in the race for the last Champions League place they may well have the last laugh this season.
