Arsenal move just a point behind Manchester City on Sunday afternoon after picking up a 1-0 home win over Bournemouth.

The Gunners were looking to build on Thursday’s 4-0 thrashing of Standard Liege, and wasted no time in taking the lead as David Luiz headed home Nicolas Pepe’s early corner.

However, Arsenal couldn’t find a second goal, and had to make do with a 1-0 win as they failed to really click going forward, but kept Bournemouth at bay.

It wasn’t entirely convincing from Arsenal, but a win is a win, and with Manchester City losing 2-0 at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Gunners are just a point behind Pep Guardiola’s second-placed side.

That’s a great place to be for Unai Emery, but there are still some issues to be resolved in the Arsenal side, with the third midfielder becoming something of an issue.

Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi are settled, but Lucas Torreira, Mesut Ozil, Dani Ceballos and Joe Willock have all played too – and on Sunday, it was the turn of loanee Ceballos.

The summer signing from Real Madrid has struggled to recapture the form that saw him destroy Burnley earlier this season, but he at least turned in a workmanlike performance against Bournemouth.

Fans took to Twitter to share their verdict on Ceballos, with some calling him ‘sensational’ and the best midfielder in the Arsenal side, believing he’s getting better and better.

Others weren’t so happy, claiming Ceballos isn’t even better than Henrikh Mkhitaryan, never mind Mesut Ozil, with the word ‘average’ being thrown around about the Spanish midfielder.
