The Arsenal midfielder was far from his best last night.

Granit Xhaka passes during the Pre-Season Friendly match between Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC at Birds Nest on July 22, 2017 in Beijing, China.

Arsenal were soundly beaten by Wolves at Molineux last night, and some Gunners fans absolutely slated Granit Xhaka’s display, holding him accountable for their side’s defeat.

The 26-year-old joined Arsenal from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth £35 million, and he has since gone on to make 129 appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit.

Xhaka is a divisive figure at the Emirates, however, with some lamenting his lack of power and pace, and others praising him for his impressive array of passing.

The Switzerland international seems to have improved this season, but he was in really poor form last night for Arsenal against Wolves.

Granit Xhaka of Arsenal looks dejected in defeat after the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Arsenal at Selhurst Park on April 10, 2017 in London, England.

Xhaka seems to be more than useful when his team are dominating and have the lion’s share of possession, but when they are up against it and under the cosh, he really does struggle.

And some Arsenal fans absolutely slated the midfielder’s performance against Wolves on Twitter last night…
