Arsenal fans were clearly impressed by Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette’s display in their Europa League semi-final.

Several Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to urge Arsene Wenger to go out and sign Alexandre Lacazette after he scored a brace in Lyon’s Europa League semi-final second-leg clash with Ajax.
Lacazette scored twice for the Ligue 1 side to give them a glimmer of hope in a tie that saw Lyon go into the rematch 4-1 down and then leave themselves an even greater uphill battle as Kasper Dolberg made the aggregate score 5-1 before the Frenchman scored his two goals in quick succession.
Unfortunately for Lyon however, Rachid Ghezzal’s late third was as good as it got and Lacazette’s side were knocked out, needing just one more goal to force extra-time.
While Lacazette will not be featuring in the final, there is no question that he left a major impression upon Gunners fans that are hoping that Wenger goes out and signs a new striker this summer.

The brace against the Eredivisie heavyweights took his tally in Europe to six goals for the campaign, while his return in all competitions has moved to 33 with 24 of those coming in just 28 league games.
And it is not just his goals return that is leaving Arsenal supporters desperate to see a move take place this summer. Lyon are well adrift of the top three in Ligue 1 so winning the Europa League represented their only chance of reaching next season’s Champions League, a competition that a player of Lacazette’s calibre should surely be playing in.
And while Arsenal’s chances of qualifying for the competition look almost as bleak – they are three points back of Manchester City with three games left – Gunners supporters are desperate to see the club try and win the race for one of the most lethal goalscorers in Europe currently.
