Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for their final match at White Hart Lane which takes place against Manchester United.

The ground is set to be demolished to make way for the construction of Tottenham’s new stadium, which is scheduled to open in 2018.

Spurs will play their home matches at Wembley next season and in preparation of the move, Tottenham have a series of events planned.

Tottenham plan to bury a time capsule at the White Hart Lane site and have been asking fans for suggestions regarding what should go inside it.

Unfortunately the request for serious responses was hijacked by fans of North London rivals Arsenal, who couldn’t resist the chance to have a dig – no pun intended.

They responded on Twitter with a few suggestions of their own.

Warning, Sol Campbell features…

One of the positives of course about Tottenham moving into a new ground, is that Arsenal will not be able to gloat about winning the league there.

It is up to Spurs to keep it that way and ensure that unwelcome piece of their history is never repeated.

The last thing buried at White Hart Lane, was of course, Arsenal – with Spurs winning the last ever North London derby at the ground 2-0.
