Arsenal threw away a two goal lead at Vicarage Road on Sunday afternoon to drop more points.

The Gunners have now not won in their last three Premier League games, having started off by winning their first two.

Arsenal centre back Sokratis Papastathopoulos sent a message after the game.

He directly apologised for the Gunners’ draw, and said he would not hide from his own part in Arsenal giving up their lead.

Sokratis’ honesty should be commended, but he is not the first Arsenal player to front up in recent weeks.

Defensive partner David Luiz offered a similar apology after his own wretched performance at Anfield against Liverpool.

This one away at Watford was harder to stomach, with the Hornets entering the game as one of the Premier League’s most out of form teams.

This was a definite case of two points dropped rather than one gained.
