Arsenal have high hopes for midfielder Miguel Azeez, and he has again showed his quality.
The 18-year-old has been coming up through the Arsenal ranks, and has shown real potential at this early stage of his career.
Azeez is already playing regularly for Arsenal’s Under-23 at the age of 18, and has been involved in Mikel Arteta’s first-team setup too.
He featured in the Europa League against Dundalk in December, and there are real hopes that he can become a first-team star in the future.
For now, Azeez will continue honing his craft in Premier League 2, and he showed his quality against Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday night.
Azeez picked up a goal and two assists in a 5-0 win, surely catching Arteta’s eye in the process.
Azeez took to Twitter to celebrate his performance, and he was unsurprisingly bombarded with messages from Arsenal fans.
Some fans believe Azeez is bound for the first team setup next season, and will join other youth products in breaking through.
Others called him a ‘baller’ and believe he could even be Arsenal captain one day, with the teenager clearly earning fans already.
