Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are hailing Emiliano Martinez after playing a big win in Aston Villa’s win over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
The Villans ensured that Spurs won’t be finishing higher than sixth in the Premier League table this season by beating them 2-1 in North London, leaving Ryan Mason’s side seventh with one game to go.
Arsenal could yet finish above their North London rivals as a result of that victory.
The Gunners sold Martinez to Villa for £20 million last summer and after seeing their former goalkeeper pull off some fine saves against the Lilywhites, here’s how some fans on the red half of the North London divide have responded to his post-match tweet:

That’s because with Aston Villa, Martinez has arguably had a better season as far as individual form goes than Gunners’ number one Bernd Leno.
Mikel Arteta decided to keep the German as his main goalkeeper last summer despite Martinez playing a huge role in their FA Cup success.
Martinez was unlucky not to keep the number one shirt and it’s fair to say that he hasn’t looked back since leaving.
