Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are responding to Matteo Guendouzi’s latest tweet.
The exiled Arsenal midfielder posted a photo of himself alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe on international duty with France.
Guendouzi’s presence in Didier Deschamps’s squad is evidence that his spell at Marseille has been superb so far.
The 22-year-old has scored three and set up another three which, for a midfielder, is a tidy return.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta isn’t a fan of the youngster’s attitude, which is why he hasn’t played for Arsenal since June of 2020.
Here’s how some fans of the North London club reacted to his post on Twitter last night:
Is Guendouzi coming back?
A lot of Arsenal supporters do want to see Arteta give the young midfielder another chance in the senior squad.
But no, he isn’t coming back.
It was widely reported at the time of his loan to Ligue 1 that Marseille had an obligation to buy clause, meaning they simply have to sign him outright next summer.
It’s a big shame because under Unai Emery, Guendouzi looked like a potential superstar and one who could be worth an absolute fortune to the Emirates Stadium club.
But under Arteta, things went south very quickly and it seems like the Spaniard and Edu feel that Arsenal are better off without him, as a personality.
