Tottenham Hotspur were knocked out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage on Wednesday night.

Arsenal fans have had no problem sticking the knife in on Tottenham this morning after Mauricio Pochettino’s men were knocked out of the Champions League by Juventus on Wednesday night.
Spurs went into the second-leg of their last 16 tie with Juve level at 2-2 after a brilliant comeback in Turin when the two sides met for the first time, and it appeared that they may be on their way to booking a ticket to the quarter-final.

Son Heung-min’s scuffed strike found its way past a sprawling Gianluigi Buffon during the first-half to leave Wembley rocking and Spurs ahead in the tie for the first time.
However, the Old Lady would stage their own comeback in the second-half. Gonzalo Higuain reacted quickest to volley home from close-range shortly after the hour-mark, and Spurs’ hopes would be dashed moments later.

Paulo Dybala produced a stunning finish when put through one on one with Hugo Lloris to ensure that Juventus had turned the tie on its head four minutes after Spurs had been leading.
Tottenham would have some chances late on, but Pochettino’s men were unable to find that equaliser and now must concentrate their efforts on the Premier League and FA Cup. And Arsenal fans are unsurprisingly delighted.
A number took to social media to mock their bitter rivals and point out that for all of the plaudits that come their way and all the praise they get, Spurs’ trophy cabinet under Pochettino remains empty.
Here is the best of the reaction…
