Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed their new stadium will not host the North London derby with Arsenal.

The Premier League tie takes place on March 2 and will be held at Wembley.

Both teams have one win over the other this season. Arsenal won at The Emirates 4-2 in the league before Spurs beat the Gunners 2-0 away to knock them out of the Carabao Cup.

Tottenham’s stadium was originally scheduled to open in September.

There is no current open date for the stadium, with work still ongoing to complete it.

Arsenal supporters have accused Tottenham of running scared of potentially opening their ground with a loss.

Tottenham currently have a 10 point gap over Arsenal in the Premier League.

Despite the claims from Arsenal fans, The Sun reported that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wanted to open the ground against Arsenal.

The report stated that the idea was voted down by police, who want the opening to ‘go off without a hitch’ and did not want an additional security concern to deal with.
