Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to offer mixed feelings about their latest signing.

Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news the club have agreed a deal to sign Takuma Asano from Sanfrecce Hiroshima, confirmed via the club’s official website.
The 21-year-old Japan international will officially complete a move to the Emirates Stadium once he passes a medical and is granted his work permit.

He becomes Arsenal’s second signing of the summer transfer window, with the Gunners also having completed a move for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka.
Unlike the Swiss international though, Asano is not likely to be a first-team star next season, with him instead firmly viewed as one for the future.

Indeed, it is believed that Arsene Wenger’s side have beaten off stiff competition from a number of clubs for his signature.
As with every signing, the club’s fans have taken to Twitter to offer their views and it is fair to say that this time the opinions are mixed.

Arsenal fans will now be hoping that Asano is not the only striker to arrive at the club this summer.
It is widely accepted that they are in need of a world-class forward if they are to properly challenge for honours next season and beyond.
They have already seen Jamie Vardy turn down a move and it will be interesting to see if Wenger makes a move for a different striker in this transfer window.
