Shkodran Mustafi was in action for Arsenal on Thursday, with one fan suggesting that he is better than Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.

Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Shkodran Mustafi against BATE Borisov on Thursday evening.

Mustafi featured for Arsenal in the second leg of their Europa League Round of 32 tie at the Emirates Stadium in North London.

The 26-year-old central defender started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Premier League club won 3-0 to progress to the last-16 stage 3-1 on aggregate.

The Germany international was among the goalscorers for the Gunners, finding the net with a powerful header from Granit Xhaka’s corner in the 39th minute.

According to WhoScored, Mustafi had a pass accuracy of 74.5%, won five headers, and made two tackles, five interceptions and six clearances.

So far this season, the defender has made 22 appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
