Arsenal fans have ripped into Rob Holding after their shock FA Cup defeat.

Arsenal’s FA Cup title defence ended at the first hurdle as Arsene Wenger’s side lost 4-2 in a thrilling third-round affair away to Nottingham Forest this evening.
Two goals from Eric Lichaj, either side of Per Mertesacker’s equaliser for Arsenal, saw the Championship side earn a 2-1 half-time lead, before Ben Brereton added a third after a clumsy foul inside the penalty area by defender Rob Holding.
Danny Welbeck reduced the arrears with 11 minutes left, but Kieran Dowell then converted an 85th-minute penalty after Armand Traore was fouled by Mathieu Debuchy in the box.

It was the Gunners’ first third-round FA Cup exit since 1996 and fans of the North London club haven’t reacted well to the defeat on Twitter, but one man is taking the lion’s share of criticism following his performance – Holding.
The former Bolton Wanderers centre-back, a £2 million signing in the summer of 2016, struggled for 90 minutes and was second best to 18-year-old Brereton throughout.

His positioning and passing was also suspect, and Arsenal fans haven’t been kind to the 22-year-old on Twitter.
