Arsenal supporters have taken to Twitter to react to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s performance for Barcelona this evening.

The Camp Nou outfit hammered Valencia 4-1 at the Mestalla and the former Arsenal hitman bagged himself his first two goals since leaving the Emirates Stadium.

Aubameyang had his Gunners contract terminated in January before joining Barcelona on a free transfer.

Prior to moving to Spain, he hadn’t kicked a ball in any competition since November after being exiled by manager Mikel Arteta in North London over a disciplinary issue.

However, the 32-year-old remains a lethal figure, evident by how he scored his first goal.

Arsenal supporters saw him score a hat-trick away at Valencia in the Europa League almost three years ago.

And here’s how they’re reacting to his latest double on social media today:

A sign of things to come?

Definitely.

Despite being 32, Aubameyang remains absolutely lethal and he’ll regularly score for the Primera Division outfit between now and the end of the campaign.

It’ll be interesting to see how Arsenal fare without their former captain, who had been stripped of the armband.

Arteta’s outfit have won both games since offloading Aubameyang but have only netted three goals in both outings and Alexandre Lacazette hasn’t looked a convincing alternative in either clash.

A fit-and-firing Aubameyang could’ve handed the North Londoners a big advantage in their pursuit of Champions League football and it’ll be fascinating to see how they cope without him between now and May.
