Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 3-0 at Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon – and Arsenal fans are absolutely loving Patrick Vieira’s work.
Wilfried Zaha’s penalty gave Palace the lead, and Odsonne Edouard then stole the show. The French striker came off the bench to score twice on his Palace debut.
Tottenham just had no answer even at 0-0. Japhet Tanganga’s red card made things harder, but Tottenham were second best regardless.
Palace winning means Patrick Vieira has claimed yet another win over Tottenham. This was his first win as Palace boss since arriving over the summer.
Vieira’s playing record v Tottenham
Vieira is very familiar with beating Tottenham. As an Arsenal player, Vieira played against Tottenham 19 times. He won 10 times, drew seven and lost just twice.
Many will remember Vieira scoring at White Hart Lane to give Arsenal the title in 2004.
Vieira also scored in a memorable 5-4 win for Arsenal at White Hart Lane just months later.
Throughout the dominance of Arsenal under Arsene Wenger in the early 2000’s, Vieira was key.

Arsenal fans react to Vieira success
Unsurprisingly, Vieira remains very popular at Arsenal. Saturday’s win was his first over Tottenham as a manager, and Gunners supporters lapped it up.
Arsenal fans suggested there was nothing new about Vieira beating Tottenham. Quite frankly, they have seen it so many times.
Others called Vieira a legend, claiming he was born to beat Tottenham.
With Vieira beating Tottenham and then Arsenal winning themselves, the Gunners had a great Saturday afternoon.
