Arsenal picked up a huge win this afternoon, beating Leicester City 3-1 at the King Power Stadium.

The Gunners went through in the Europa League on Thursday night, dramatically beating Benfica with a late Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goal.

A trip to Leicester was far from easy for Arsenal, and they did fall behind as Youri Tielemans drove into the box and scored the opener.

David Luiz headed Arsenal level, and Alexandre Lacazete fired home a penalty to send the Gunners into half-time 2-1 up.

Nicolas Pepe then wrapped up the win with the third goal, giving Mikel Arteta a massive three points.

Fans will be delighted with the victory, and there was one moment in the second half that really got people talking.

A ball was sent in behind the Arsenal defence seeking to find the pace of Jamie Vardy, but defender Pablo Mari – regarded as a relatively slow defender – outpaced Vardy and won the ball.

Arsenal fans raved about the 27-year-old, suggesting that the way he coed with Vardy was unbelievable and the ‘surprise of the day’.

Others feel that Mari had Vardy in his pocket all day, noting that he is great value if all he does is stop Vardy, given that his record against Arsenal is quite stunning.
