Arsenal fans were quick to praise Olivier Giroud after slaughtering him.

Arsenal maintained their good run of form with a ruthless 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
Alexandre Lacazette fired the Gunners ahead within just three minutes of kick off but Arsenal’s £50 million marksman suffered an injury and was replaced by Olivier Giroud at half time.
Giroud could and should have doubled the lead but, after rounding goalkeeper Jonas Lossl, the Frenchman pinged what should have been a simple tap-in against the post.

And suffice to say that Arsenal fans were just as ruthless as their team when it came to doling out the criticism following that incident.

But eight minutes later the 30-year-old completed an outstanding team move by tapping past Lossl from close range for the Gunners’ second of the night, before volleying home a fifth after Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil had put the game well beyond Town with a couple of well-taken finishes.
And Arsenal fans were quick to then praise for the former Montpellier striker.
