Arsenal fell to defeat on Tuesday evening, losing 2-1 at Wolverhampton Wanderers in a wild game at Molineux.

The Gunners were impressive in he first half, and took a deserved lead when Nicolas Pepe beat Nelson Semedo and fired in the opener.

Wolves were back in the game when David Luiz was sent off for fouling Willian Jose, with Ruben Neves scoring from the resulting penalty.

Joao Moutinho then smashed home a stunning long-range strike to put the hosts in front, before Bernd Leno was sent off for a comical handball.

Arsenal couldn’t get back into the game with nine men, and their seven-game unbeaten Premier League run is now over.

This was a testing night for Arsenal, and one that Arteta will ultimately want to forget about very quickly, but Gunners fans did find something to be positive about.

Pepe showed real quality not only with his goal but also with his all-round performance, again thriving on the left flank having been switched from the right.

Fans took to Twitter to hail the Ivorian, suggesting that he looks like a different player at the moment, and believe that he has made himself undroppable in Arteta’s side.
