Arsenal ended the season with a win as they beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 – and Nicolas Pepe was the hero again.

The Ivorian excelled in midweek by scoring twice in the 3-1 win at Crystal Palace, and took that form into today’s game.

Pepe opened the scoring with a right-footed strike, before adding the second with a well-placed left-footed effort.

That means the 25-year-old winger has finished the season with five goals in his final three games, showing the quality many expected of him.

Pepe hasn’t quite lived up to his staggering £72million price tag so far, but there are real signs that he is now starting to put it all together.

It almost feels like the season is ending at the wrong time for Pepe, as he will now have to try and keep this form going into next season.

Arsenal fans seem pretty confident that this will happen, taking to Twitter to share how excited they are about Pepe for next season.

Some believe that Pepe is ‘gonna be a problem’ for opposing teams next season, predicting that he will be ‘fire’ in his third season.

Others think Pepe showed that he is an ‘unreal talent’ against Brighton, and are already excited to see him in action next term.
