Arsenal are in the market for another left back – and Ryan Bertrand could be the man heading to North London.
Kieran Tierney is Arsenal’s undoubted first-choice left back, but his injuries have left the Gunners a little exposed.
Sead Kolasinac was sent to Schalke in January, and with no future at the club, Arsenal now need to find another left back to support Tierney.
Goal reported on Wednesday that Arsenal have now made an approach to Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand in the hope of landing a deal.
AC Milan and Monaco are also believed to have approached Bertrand, who is a man in demand ahead of his contract expiring this summer.
The former Chelsea man has racked up almost 250 appearances for Southampton since joining from the Blues in 2014.

A solid and dependable left back, Bertrand may feel that he can still play fairly regularly at Arsenal given Tierney’s injury history.
Arsenal fans have been taking to Twitter to react to rumours linking the 31-year-old with a move to the Emirates, with a real split in opinion.
Some think this is a ‘smart’ move, branding Bertrand a ‘really good’ backup option to Tierney whilst being homegrown and coming in on a free without needing to adjust to Premier League life.
Others think a move is ‘madness’ and ‘terrible’, feeling that Bertrand is a mid-table player who simply isn’t good enough to take Arsenal forward any time soon…
