Granit Xhaka has been a key player for Mikel Arteta this season, but new Arsenal exit rumours are starting to emerge.
The Swiss ace had a run-in with Arsenal fans last season, and it looked like he would be leaving in January 2020 for a move to Hertha Berlin.
Xhaka ended up staying, and has featured prominently under Arteta this term, starting 24 of Arsenal’s 29 Premier League games.
Now though, Sky Germany report that Xhaka is looking to make a return to the Bundesliga despite his important role at Arsenal this season.
Hertha are once again being touted as a potential destination, given that they will need to replace – somewhat ironically – Matteo Guendouzi as he returns to Arsenal.
The 28-year-old was a Bundesliga star with Borussia Monchengladbach before making his 2016 move to Arsenal, but he certainly won’t come cheap if Hertha are hovering.

Arsenal fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the news, and some believe that Xhaka leaving ‘needs to happen’ because the Gunners must upgrade in that position next to Thomas Partey.
Some admitted that they are on their knees hoping that Xhaka will go, as whilst he is a good player, a fresh start is needed for all.
