Arsenal fans are divided over Mohamed Elneny’s performance against Crystal Palace.

Arsenal fans on Twitter aren’t happy with Mohamed Elneny it seems.
The Egypt international started Saturday’s 4-1 win over Crystal Palace at the Emirates as a determined Arsenal side put the opposition to the sword with a ruthless first-half display to show that life will go on after Alexis Sanchez, who is close to joining Manchester United.
It was a good day for the Gunners who picked up a much-needed victory, but the three points and emphatic performance wasn’t enough to save some players from criticism.

And Elneny was among those to come in for criticism on Twitter afterwards.
The 25-year-old, who joined Arsenal for £7.4 million two years ago, started in midfield alongside Granit Xhaka but a lot of fans of the North London club weren’t hugely impressed by him, though others felt he gave a decent account of himself.

Whether it was a good performance or not does not matter. Fact is, Arsenal probably need better than Elneny and there is two year’s worth of evidence to support it.
In saying that, the same could be said about Xhaka who, despite his £35 million price tag, does not look like he’s getting a lot better under Arsene Wenger.
