Arsenal are unlikely to strike any more deals before Friday’s EFL deadline, but they are still being linked with one more addition.

The big-money move for Thomas Partey likely brought an end to Arsenal’s spending, with Mikel Arteta now likely to wait until January for anybody else.

Still, the Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Arsenal are fighting Leeds United for Reading teenager Michael Olise ahead of Friday’s deadline.

The Reading Chronicle note that Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen too, and two of those three clubs have failed with bids of around £5million.

It seems unlikely that Reading will sell before the deadline, but Arsenal’s interest in signing Olise is certainly interesting.

The 18-year-old had spells at Chelsea and Manchester City, but is now starring for Reading having picked up one goal and two assists in the first four league games of the season.

Primarily a winger, Olise looks set to have a huge future, and seeing him develop under Arteta at Arsenal could be massively exciting.

Arsenal fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, with some calling Olise an ‘unreal baller’ and ‘so good’, even comparing him to Raheem Sterling and believing he can replace Mesut Ozil long-term.

Others think that Olise’s ceiling is ‘ridiculously high’, and hope that Arsenal can get a deal done to sign him.
