The Arsenal right-back did well in the EFL Cup clash.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger again used the EFL Cup as an opportunity to give some of his fringe players and young stars the opportunity to impress, and they did not let him down, earning a place in the semi-finals by overcoming West Ham United 1-0 on Tuesday evening.
A goal from Danny Welbeck sealed the victory for the hosts but the forward was not the only player to impress, with right-back Mathieu Debuchy using the occasion to show he is not finished just yet.

The Frenchman has fallen out of favour at Arsenal, failing to make a single appearance in the league this season and having to make do with some cup outings.
That said, he came out all guns blazing against the Hammers, suggesting he could still be a viable alternative to Hector Bellerin if Wenger liked what he saw.

Arsenal will need all their first-team options as the matches come thick and fast over the festive period and into the second half of the season, and it will be interesting to see if the 32-year-old is among them.
