Arsenal are one of several Premier League clubs linked with Mario Gotze.

Arsenal fans are on board with the speculation that they could be signing Mario Gotze this summer.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal are rivalling Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Newcastle United for the Germany playmaker, who is available to leave Borussia Dortmund for around £18 million.
The Gunners have already signed one player from Dortmund this year in the form of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whereas the North Londoners’ Head of Recruitment, Sven Mislintat, spent a number of years at Signal Iduna Park and re-signed the 26-year-old in 2016.
The Sunderland Echo claimed that Arsenal are favourites for the reported Tottenham and West Ham target, and fans of the Emirates Stadium club would have Gotze – who scored the goal which won Germany the World Cup in 2014 – in a heartbeat.

Of course, Arsenal already have Mesut Ozil for that coveted number 10 role but it remains to be seen whether Mislintat or new head coach Unai Emery fancies Gotze’s international team-mate.
As talented as Ozil is, consistency has always held him back from being a reliable player for the Gunners, and if Arsenal’s hierarchy deems the Dortmund star to be an upgrade then a transfer makes sense – especially for £18 million.
