The Arsenal youngster started for the Gunners against West Ham United.

Arsenal could not break down a resilient West Ham United side on Wednesday evening, leaving the London Stadium with a point after a 0-0 draw.
The Gunners had plenty of chances to win the game, with 22 goal attempts, yet with only three of those on target it was clear that it was not going to be Arsenal’s night from relatively early in the encounter.

West Ham did not trouble Petr Cech’s goal all night, yet they can be happy with their efforts and Arsenal will be increasingly frustrated as their league campaign falters heading into the festive fixtures.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger made plenty of changes for this clash with youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles starting for the first time in the league this season.
The 20-year-old had a good game and the future looks bright for the youngster; however on this occasion his more experienced teammates were not able to put the finishing touches to any of the club’s attacks and it could be hard for Wenger’s men to finish in the top four without a few changes in January.
