Arsenal and Lincoln went head-to-head at the Emirates Stadium and the Gunners ran out comfortable winners in the end.

Arsenal faced non-league side Lincoln City in the quarter-final of the FA Cup this weekend and the Gunners ran out 5-0 winners. However, despite the score-line Arsene Wenger’s side were made to work hard for their victory, with their opponents holding out for practically the entire first half.
Ultimately goals from Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and an own-goal from Luke Waterfall sealed the win but the first of those did not come until a minute into first-half injury-time.
Wenger opted to field a strong side for the encounter in order to avoid a humiliating giant-killing just days after their heavy defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
That said Arsenal did give a chance to fringe player Kieran Gibbs, who has only managed 17 appearances in all competitions this season, including just six in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old is very much second choice left-back behind Nacho Monreal at Arsenal and on Saturday’s evidence he may struggle for another start between now and May.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Arsenal fans thought of Gibbs’ latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
