Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal will be battling for a top-four spot in the Premier League again next season.

Arsenal supporters on Twitter have expressed their love for West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere following his comments regarding Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Gunner echoed words by Lauren Koscielny and claimed that North London ‘was always red’ when he was playing for Arsenal, and that it ‘still is’, as quoted by Football London.

Well, Tottenham fans will have something to say about that as they will refer to the latest Premier League standings, where Spurs have finished above their rivals, as they did last term.

Added with that, both teams enjoyed wins against one another last season, with Unai Emery winning their home Premier League encounter and Mauricio Pochettino guiding them to a 2-0 win in the League Cup at the Emirates.

Whilst Tottenham have been finishing above their rivals, playing the better football and competing in the Champions League, their rivals will point towards their lack of trophies.

But given the fact that Spurs didn’t spend any money last season, and now they are beginning to splash the cash, that could soon change for Pochettino and his men.

Understandably, Tottenham will be favourites to finish above Arsenal again, who are yet to sign any players this summer, as their supporters will be well aware that they need to sort their leaky defence out if they are to compete.

Either way, the battle for North London is going to intensify even further next season, and with Spurs moving into their new stadium, Arsenal will want to claim three points straight away.
