Arsenal and West Ham United went head-to-head this weekend.
Arsenal put on an attacking master-class against West Ham United this weekend as the Gunners ran out 5-1 winners in their latest Premier League clash.
The star of the show was Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, who scored a superb hat-trick, while Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also got on the score sheet. But there were plenty of other Arsenal players who also deserve credit for their performance.
Summer signing Grant Xhaka has been in and out of the side this season but he has started the last two league matches and on Saturday he looked like a class act, playing a vital role in the centre of the field.
The Swiss international may never fully temper his aggression on the pitch to ensure the yellow and red cards are kept at a minimum. However, on this evidence he is a key player for Arsene Wenger’s side; one that allows those ahead of him to focus on putting the ball in the net.
