Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Granit Xhaka against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.

Xhaka was in action for Arsenal in the Premier League game against Tottenham away from home at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.

The 26-year-old midfielder started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as it ended in a 2-2 draw.

The Switzerland intentional struggled to impose himself in the middle of the park, committed a lot of fouls but got away with them, and did not look particular great with his passing.

According to WhoScored, Xhaka took one shot which was on target, played three key passes, had a pass accuracy of 86.8%, won three headers, took 82 touches, and made one tackle, two interceptions and one clearance.

Arsenal fans were not impressed with Xhaka and have criticised him on Twitter.

Positive result

Given the quality of players in the two sides, it was a positive result for Arsenal, although many fans will suggest that Unai Emery’s team should have won the North London derby given that it was at the Emirates Stadium.

Spurs were brilliant in the first half, but Arsenal stepped up their game after the break and dominated proceedings.

The Gunners could have actually won the derby, and they should be pleased with how things turned out in the end.
