Arsenal fell to defeat once again on Tuesday night, as they were beaten 4-1 at home by Manchester City in the Carabao Cup.
The Gunners have been in torrid form of late, and fans were hoping for a big response against City for a place in the semi-finals.
However, Arsenal were behind inside a matter of minutes as Gabriel Jesus headed home Oleksandr Zinchenko’s cross from close range.
Alexandre Lacazette did pull Arsenal level with a fine header, but that’s as good as it got, with Runar Runarsson fumbling a Riyad Mahrez free kick into his own net.
Phil Foden lifted home a third, before he set up Aymeric Laporte to make it 4-1, dumping Arsenal out of the competition in emphatic fashion.
There, once again, wasn’t much for Arsenal fans to shout about last night, but Emile Smith Rowe at least impressed in a second-half cameo.

The young playmaker seems to be what Arsenal are looking for, and looked sharp as a substitute – prompting praise from supporters.
Fans took to Twitter to suggest that Smith Rowe was a ‘real bright spark’ and ‘looks class’, believing he is now ‘ready’ for Premier League action.
Others think Arsenal should rely on him as their chief creator until somebody is signed, and are urging Mikel Arteta to give him a run in the side.
