Arsenal snapped up Willian over the summer, luring him on a free transfer from London rivals Chelsea upon the end of his contract.

The Gunners were hoping to see the Brazilian bring some real creativity to the Arsenal side, especially as he was already adjusted to life in the Premier League having spent seven years with the Blues.

However, the move has been a nightmare so far; he has failed to score, and has registered just one assist since recording three on the opening day of the season against Fulham.

Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Burnley was just the third time this season that Willian has recorded more than one key pass in a game, with his creativity really lacking this season.

Fans have slated the 32-year-old, believing that he simply isn’t good enough – and they have fears given that he was handed a three-year deal by compatriot Edu.

Edu has now defended Willian, as he has been quoted by The Mirror as saying that Willian is a ‘top player’ and needs time to play well for Arsenal.

Edu even suggested that people who don’t think he’s a good football don’t know football, strongly criticising those who are unconvinced by the Brazilian.

Arsenal fans are unsurprisingly angry with these comments, suggesting that Edu must be trolling fans if he thinks Willian need time given how old he is already.

Others want Edu gone, believing that he simply doesn’t know football and shouldn’t be in charge of signing at the Emirates Stadium.
