Arsenal slipped to defeat on Sunday night, as they were hammered 3-0 at home by a rampant Aston Villa side.
The Gunners were looking to build on last weekend’s 1-0 win at Manchester United, but came up short against Dean Smith’s side.
John McGinn had a first-minute goal ruled out, before a lovely move saw Matt Targett’s cross turned into his own net by Bukayo Saka.
Villa found a second as Douglas Luiz pinged an inch-perfect pass to Ross Barkley, who crossed for Ollie Watkins to head home, and Watkins rounded off a 3-0 win by firing home his second from a Jack Grealish pass.
Arsenal were left absolutely shell-shocked as Villa dismantled them, and Mikel Arteta will have some tough decisions to make over the international break.
One thing he will be concerned by is how his midfield were given the runaround by McGinn and Barkley, whilst Luiz dictated the game in front of the Villa back four.

Arsenal wanted to sign Luiz over the summer according to 90Min, establishing contact over a deal before eventually signing top target Thomas Partey instead.
Luiz was outstanding against the Gunners though, and Arsenal fans have been taking to Twitter to rave about the 22-year-old midfielder.
Some suggested that Luiz is ‘so impressive’ and ‘looks a player’, claiming that he bossed Arsenal and provided the ideal platform for McGinn and Barkley to go forward – and they would seemingly love him at the Emirates Stadium following those summer links.
